A couple days ago, I forgot my iPod when I was leaving my house, so I decided to pop in one of the few CDs I still own, The Moon Is Down by Further Seems Forever. This has sparked a bit of an early ’00s musical revival. The past few days have found me listening to my old high school favorites; stuff like the aforementioned FSF, The Early November, The Starting Line, Armor For Sleep, and all sorts of other bands. It’s become an interesting walk through memory lane, with certain songs provoking distinct, vivid memories. Music has a special way of capturing moments in time.
Looking at Last.fm charts and listening to the songs from certain periods of time can really explain those times better than any words.
