Design by Andy Gilmore.

Next week, I am finally getting an iPhone. I’d like to purchase a case/skin soon after acquiring that, and stumbled upon this website with multitudes of them after Heather posted about it. These are a couple of my favorite designs. There’s another site where I can create my own, so I may go that route instead.

The new Facebook profiles are actually going to be pretty cool.

transmogrification asked: I noticed you said you used to design. I mean, you also mentioned that you still do, but was there any particular reason why you worded it that way? Is there something else that you do more frequently, now?

I use ‘used to’ because I was in school for a few years, studying graphic design, which, in turn, lead to me doing a lot of design work. The stuff I still do is usually either for friends (e.g. band Myspace layouts), for my work (which I do unprompted, on my own accord), or for a personal project (e.g. Tumblr stuff, album art for compilations). Most of my portfolio, at least the creative art, was from school assignments. Right now I’m not in school, but I hope (and I use that word very lightly) to be returning next fall. I’ve considering changing my major to English, but I have a hard time reading books that don’t interest me and writing when I don’t feel like it.

Oh, and it’s also a reference to a Mitch Hedberg joke.

Check it out if you’d like. Don’t if you don’t.

I’ve seen this poster by Nicole Lavelle a few places and I have to say, it’s one of the only things I’ve ever seen that makes me miss school a little bit. Also, it’s genius.

At one point in time, I referred to myself as a “graphic designer.” This is the first abstract “design” that I have done in a while. I’m sharing it, whatever it may be, with you.

One of my favorite paintings; a killer representation of a legitimately good and interesting design.
